Wildlife Conservation Awareness Programme
Since inception in 2009, our able Project Co-ordinator Ms. Shikha Jain has successfully carried out Wildlife Education Programmes in several schools in and around Delhi. Shikha Jain has a rich experience in training and Wildlife Conservation. She has spent valuable years teaching language skills in North Eastern and Eastern India and has also served at an NGO in Delhi working for Tiger Conservation. Between 2009 and 2012, Shikha has conducted Wildlife Conservation Programmes at schools like Delhi Public School- NOIDA, Bal Bharti School- Kaushambi, The Shri Ram School- New Delhi, Pathways- Aravali, Haryana and many others. In the coming years we hope to expand our Wildlife education programme to schools for children with special needs and underprivileged children.
In 2011 an eminent film- maker and conservationist donated several copies of the film “The Truth about Tigers” to us. In 2012 we plan to distribute copies of this film among the Corbett, Ranthambore and Rajaji forest staff, drivers and guides as well as village heads and school teachers in the area. This is being planned with the objective of spreading awareness about tiger conservation among key decision makers and influencers in forest range states. Copies of the film have already been distributed in several schools of Delhi to spread the message of wildlife conservation to the youth.
